We are recruiting a full-time postdoctoral fellow to work on an Australian Research Council funded project that will involve the development, derivation and simulation of particle-based and continuum models for actomyosin dynamics in the cell cortex.

The project (CI: Dietmar Oelz, UQ) will involve collaboration with Alex Mogilner (NYU-Courant Institute). The applicant will have a good background in Applied Mathematics, and a strong interest in Biology and Cell Biology. The postdoctoral fellow will be hosted at the University of Queensland (UQ, Brisbane, Australia).

Applicants should possess a PhD in the area of Mathematics/Physics/Engineering with a specialisation in Applied Mathematics and evidence of contribution to research, including publication of research in peer-reviewed journals. Expert knowledge in the area of Mathematical Biology is desirable.
