Salary: AUD98,775 - AUD117,290 p.a. plus 17% superannuation
The School of Mathematics and Statistics is hiring in Pure Mathematics. The Pure Mathematics group is looking to diversify its research profile, and is particularly interested in growing in the directions of Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory. The School maintains activity in all areas of the mathematical sciences. It has research foci in algebra, analysis, geometry, topology, number theory, mathematical biology, mathematical physics, discrete mathematics, operations research, continuum mechanics, statistics, statistical genomics, stochastic modelling and probability theory. The successful applicant is expected to lead a vigorous research program in their field, should have a strong commitment to teaching in the Undergraduate and Masters curriculum, as well as to the supervision of Masters and PhD level research students. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to undertake some administrative tasks for the School.
