Postdoctoral position available to undertake research funded from the ARC Discovery Project "Symmetry and geometric partial differential equations" led by Michael Eastwood and Thomas Leistner (University of Adelaide), Jonathan Kress (UNSW) and Rod Gover (University of Auckland). The aim of the project is to understand the symmetries of geometric differential operators by studying the symmetries of the underlying geometry using tools from conformal and parabolic geometry.
The project is located within cutting edge research areas of mathematics. Its innovative character provides an excellent opportunity for professional development of the successful candidate. It will enable the successful candidate to collaborate with experienced researchers in differential geometry. The Institute for Geometry and its Application at the University of Adelaide provides a world-class research environment with frequent seminars, workshops and lecture series.
