The Research Fellow, Mathematics will be responsible for researching and publishing in the area of optimisation and approximation theory. You will work closely with a research team, including in the supervision of postgraduate students, on a project to develop theoretical results on best Chebyshev approximation conditions and algorithms based on these conditions, funded by the ARC. You will apply convex and nonconvex analysis, algebraic geometrical methods and functional analysis to advance the knowledge in this area.
Research Only Level B
