Applications are invited for a Research Associate position at UNSW Sydney, funded by the ARC research project "Hypergraph models for complex discrete systems". The Research Associate will perform research in collaboration with Professor Catherine Greenhill (UNSW), Professor Brendan McKay (ANU) and Dr Mikhail Isaev (Monash), guided by Professor Greenhill.
This is a full-time fixed-term position for two years. The project budget also includes some funding for research travel for the Research Associate.
Applicants must have (or be close to completing) a PhD in mathematics or theoretical computer science, with experience in asymptotic, algorithmic or probabilistic combinatorics, or a closely-related area. Applicants should also be active researchers with good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
