There is an exciting new opportunity in XChem in partnership with the Oxford Protein Informatics group, for a senior postdoctoral researcher to join the team. You will have responsibility for establishing a research project in Artificial Intelligence-led drug discovery. This is an exciting opportunity to develop novel machine learning tools at the interface between structural biology, synthetic chemistry and drug discovery.

We need you to hold PhD/DPhil with post-qualification research experience in bioinformatics, statistics, structural biology or other relevant area and have programming experience in machine learning. Your track record will include applying statistical methodology to complex problems, and the ability to plan and manage research projects independently. Experienced in working with experimentalists, you will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to raise research funds through making grant applications. Ideally, you will have knowledge of proteins and protein structure and experience of medicinal chemistry.
