We are seeking applicants with expertise in optimal management of ecological and natural resource systems. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in mathematical decision science or operations research applied to ecological or epidemiological problems. Experience in formally analysing models of ecological and natural resource systems to inform improved management strategies, spatial decision science, stochastic operations research, optimal control, simulation analysis, and/or Markov decision processes would be desirable. Experience in or willingness to collaborate with end-users of decision support and/or scientists from ecological, biological, or epidemiological fields is desirable.
The successful candidate will focus their teaching on providing high-quality learning experiences for applied and computational mathematics, statistics, operations research, engineering, science and health science students who want to combine their studies with real-world applications of quantitative methods.
