There is an exciting new opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join our team in partnership with Inria-Grenoble group. You will be a member of the research group with responsibility for carrying out research for General Theory on Big Bayes. This is funded by the ERC grant GTBB awarded to Professor Judith Rousseau and by the Grenoble IDEX. The goal of this project is to contribute new theory and practical techniques that lie at the interface of the deep learning and the Bayesian paradigms, by investigating how these paradigms can mutually benefit each other. You will conduct original research on the project and develop new methodologies and theories. You will publish outcome of research in high profile journals and present the results at conferences.

The successful Postdoctoral Research Assistant will be close to completion, or hold a relevant PhD/Dphil, in statistics or an affiliated discipline. You will have the ability to manage your own academic research and associated activities, and will have previous experience of contributing to publications/presentations. Excellent communication skills are a must. It would be highly desired that you have expertise in Deep learning and/or Bayesian statistics.
