There is an exciting new opportunity in XChem in partnership with the Oxford Protein Informatics group, for a senior postdoctoral researcher to join the team. You will have responsibility for establishing a research project in Artificial Intelligence-led drug discovery. This is an exciting opportunity to develop novel machine learning tools at the interface between structural biology, synthetic chemistry and drug discovery.

We need you to either hold a Ph.D/D.Phil with significant post-qualification research experience in bioinformatics, statistics, structural biology or other relevant area (grade 8) or have submitted for final examination or close to submission (grade 7). You will have programming experience in machine learning. Your track record will include applying statistical methodology to complex problems. You will have the ability to plan and manage research projects independently (Grade 8). Experienced in working with experimentalists, you will be an excellent communicator. You will have ability to raise research funds through making grant applications (Grade 8). Ideally, you will have knowledge of proteins and protein structure and experience of medicinal chemistry.
