The Optimisation Research Group is recruiting four PhD students who will work on projects in one or more of the following areas:

• Algorithms
• Combinatorial Optimisation
• Constraint Programming
• Integer Programming
• Non-smooth Optimisation
• Meta-heuristics

Applicants must be eligible to enrol in a PhD at Deakin University. Scholarships of AU$27,082 per annum (tax exempt) are available to support living costs for up to 3 years for doctoral students. Top-up scholarships of up to $10K per annum may be available for exceptional applicants.

Our Optimisation and Algorithms Research Team solves problems relating to network infrastructure, logistics, routing, scheduling, planning, bioinformatics, health analytics, machine learning, and communication networks. Group members include:

Eligibility: Strong academic performance, programming skills and excellent written communication skills are essential.
