One PhD scholarship is available for a candidate interested in cutting edge research in developing a unified joint species distribution model and evaluate the model performance with a combination of simulated and real datasets.
This project is part of a successful Australian ARC Discovery Project grant working jointly between RMIT University and the University of Melbourne. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of team members in the areas of statistics, applied probability, quantitative and conservation ecology.
For local student, the scholarship will include a $30,000 (tax free) stipend per year (pro-rata) for a period of three years.
For international students the scholarship will include a $30,000 (tax free) stipend per year (pro rata) and tuition fee waiver for three years.
