ICMYI, news this morning of the loss of one of the greatest scientists to ever come from our city: theoretical physicist and mathematical ecology founder Lord Robert May.

On Friday the Australian Academy of Science and Australia’s other learned academies launched the COVID-19 Expert Database.

As part of the 2020 Women in Maths celebrations across Australia this year, the ARC Centre of Excellence for Mathematical and Statistical Frontiers (ACEMS) is teaming up with the Australian Mathematical Society’s Women in Maths Special Interest Group (WIMSIG) to create video messages to share.

The International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI), a commission of the IMU, has just released the following announcement regarding its big congress ICME-14:
