Women in Mathematics Lunch at ANZIAM 2016

  • Date: Tuesday 9 February, 2016
  • Venue: QT Hotel, Canberra

The Women in Mathematics Lunch is held to showcase the prominent female mathematicians at ANZIAM 2016. The lunch provides an opportunity to learn about the careers of the female plenary speakers, as well as to delve into discussions on topics affecting all mathematical careers worldwide.

This year, we'll be hearing from a diverse group of speakers: Vivien Kirk, Petra Kuhnert and Karen Willcox. For a prelude into what's in store, see the ANZIAM 2016 Q&A page.

Lunch (including tea/coffee and cake) is free to all registered ANZIAM 2016 attendees, and people of any gender are welcome.

This event is supported by ANZIAM, the Women in Mathematics Special Interest Group (WIMSIG) of the AustMS, and the Australian Research Council (ARC) through Nalini Joshi’s Georgina Sweet Australian Laureate Fellowship.

Please RSVP by 12 noon on the 8th February 2016 to ensure that you have a seat for lunch. RSVP using Google Docs or register at the ANZIAM 2016 Registration Desk.
